Butlins Holiday Camps History
Butlin’s Holiday Camps were set up by the late Billy Butlin in the 1930s to provide cheap family orientated holidays in the UK. By the mid 1960s there was 9 camps across the country. in the late 1990s all but 3 were closed. The remaining parks in Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness went through multi million pound facelifts.
Butlins are fanous for their “Redcoats”. Redcoats orgainise all the entertainment at the parks
